As you make your way through the soft rolling hills of olive groves, and vineyards, you will soon enter Baena and Martinez dela Torre, which is the gateway to Granada. The most iconic item you will find here is the beautiful Arab castle near the village of Almedinilla, with its narrow cobblestone streets and ancient architecture. 

The total distance from Seville to Granada is around 250 km, and the route passes through some of the most picturesque towns and cities in Spain, including Linares, Riofrio, La Calahorra, the historic city of Ubeda, and Baeza. As you approach Granada, you’ll get a glimpse of the spectacular Sierra Nevada mountains, and of course, the famous Alhambra Palace.

Plaza de España: This remarkable square is one of the city’s main attractions. It is a stunning example of Spanish Renaissance architecture, with its half-moons, towers and gardens providing a unique backdrop for photographs. It is open all day but closes at 8pm and admission is free. Insider tip – take a boat ride along the canal to fully appreciate the square’s beauty!

Triana Market: Home to some of Seville’s most vibrant street life, Triana Market offers a variety of local dishes and delicacies. It is open everyday from 9.30am to 8pm and admission is free. Insider tip – it can get quite crowded so plan your visit in the morning to avoid the crowds!

La Torre del Oro: This iconic 12th-century tower is one of the many monuments that line the banks of the Guadalquivir river.
